About Bluebox

We are passionate about building innovative mobile solutions that marry the visibility, control, and security needs of the enterprise with the freedom, ease of use, and privacy demanded by mobile employees.  The result — mobile data security that both enterprises and employees can embrace.

Bluebox Security was founded in 2012 by two industry visionaries — Caleb Sima (CEO) and Adam Ely (COO) — with deep security roots and a track record of innovation and execution.  Bluebox is headquartered in San Francisco and backed by $27.5 million from Andreessen Horowitz, Tenaya Capital, and Andreas Bechtolsheim.

What’s in a name?  Bluebox — a phone hacking device used to steal phone calls back in the 60’s — pays homage to our hacker heritage.

We’re Looking for the Same Thing You Are

At Bluebox we believe in challenging assumptions — and ourselves. We believe in hiring the best — even if it takes us a while to find them. We believe that one talented individual can have more of an impact than three mediocre ones. We believe that we’re creating a new paradigm in mobile computing, and the only way to do this is by challenging the status quo, traditional thinking, and each other.
